Mike Kram is a CPA and Senior Vice President at Selden Fox. He is committed to delivering high quality service to clients in a timely manner. He performs financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations and provides consulting and tax services for an array of clients in multiple industries. He primarily works with credit unions, manufacturers, governments, nonprofits, and employee benefit plans. Mike acts as the main point of contact with the clients he works with and is active in the planning, review, and final stages of attestation engagements. Mike is a skilled corporate income tax preparer and adds value to the clients he works with by having the ability to see things from a tax perspective, in addition from a book perspective.

The credit union industry is one of Mike’s primary focuses.  He oversees all the firm’s credit union engagements and personnel involved.  He works with approximately 30 credit unions on an annual basis with services ranging from external audit, internal audit, tax compliance and consulting.

Mike plays an active role in the training and supervision of the firm’s professional staff. He administers training programs to enhance the staff’s technical knowledge as it relates to income tax provisions, deferred taxes, and corporate and partnership income tax preparation. Additionally, he provides training on government report preparation in conformity with the standards of the Government Finance Officers Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (Annual Comprehensive Financial Report).

Professional Involvement

Mike began his career with Selden Fox in 2008 upon graduating from Illinois State University. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and business administration. He became a CPA in early 2009. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AIPCA) and the Illinois CPA Society. Mike also completed the AICPA’s Not-for-Profit Certificate II Program.
