We are seeking an audit manager to join our team. The audit manager will plan and manage audit engagements for financial statement and compliance audits, ensuring quality client service and timely delivery of results. As a manager, you will serve as the day-to-day point person on engagements; leading meetings and calls with clients; and developing and maintaining relationships with clients. Additional responsibilities will include: 

  • Reviewing workpapers, financial statement drafts, reports, checklists, and management letters to ensure they are meet firm and professional standards and coordinate for final issuance to clients
  • Identifying matters of tax significance, and audit current and deferred income tax and prepare and/or review audit client tax returns
  • Supervising the assignment of duties to, and the training and evaluation of, personnel assigned to the engagement
  • Resolving problem areas during the audit process prior to final review of deliverables
  • Understanding client expectations and translate them into practical, implementable project objectives, working to strengthen client relationships respect
  • Coaching and training team members providing on the job and/ or classroom learning opportunities

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent coursework, be a CPA, and possess at least 7 years of progressive experience in external audit in public accounting with at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Candidates should have knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Yellow Book standards. Experience working on benefit plan, nonprofit, and/or local government audits highly preferred.
