Sharon Gregor has substantial audit and consulting experience in the financial, manufacturing, non-profit, service and communication industries, and specializes in serving financial institutions — specifically, credit unions, credit union service organizations (CUSOs) and community banks. Sharon stays informed of the ever-changing financial institution legislation and regulation, and successfully combines that knowledge with a pragmatic approach to provide sound, solid advice.
Frank and decisive, Sharon stays focused on the issues most important to her clients. Somewhat unique in her profession, she is an accountant who strives to balance the analytical with the abstract by examining how technical issues affect people and the entities they work for. Sharon is very approachable, responds quickly and is committed to being actively involved in servicing her clients.
Sharon serves on the technical committee of MGI Worldwide, the firm’s international network of accounting firms. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois, the vice chairman of the Illinois CPA Society’s Board of Directors and CPAs for Public Interest, the chairperson of the society’s Audit Committee and the Illinois Accounting and Assurance Services Network Steering Group, the past chairperson of the society’s Accounting and Assurance Services Committee, and a member and prior council member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Sharon is a graduate of Marquette University and came to Selden Fox after seven years of experience with a now-Big Four firm serving both privately held and public entities. Sharon loves to snow ski, play golf, create Porsche rallyes and adventure travel with her family.
