Prior to joining Selden Fox, Tom was a partner at Richard T. DeSimone & Co., a niche accounting firm with a 50-year history of serving the automobile dealer industry.
During his career, Tom’s services to dealership clients has run the gambit, including: financial statement reporting (audits, reviews, and compilations); corporate accounting; corporate and individual tax compliance, planning, and strategy; specific dealership tax issues such as LIFO, 263A work, application of accelerated depreciation methods, deferred tax strategies, and IRS representation; as well as a variety of consulting issues.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and is a licensed CPA. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
Tom is an avid golfer, a Chicago born, Chicago sports fan, and enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and three grandchildren.
