Paul Rozek provides tax research, consulting and compliance services to closely held businesses, tax-exempt organizations, individuals and fiduciaries. As a reviewer in the tax department, Paul is experienced in the preparation and review of all tax returns, including Forms 990 and 990-T. His clients include family offices, private foundations, trade associations, charitable organizations, schools, credit unions and other non-profit entities. As a tax and estate planning specialist, Paul also provides wealth planning and management advice to business owners, assisting in both their short- and long-term financial planning with the goal of minimizing tax liability.
Paul joined Selden Fox as a tax vice president in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, he was a vice president with a national private asset management group. His background includes serving as the financial officer for one of the country’s wealthiest families, where in addition to family office functions he provided customized tax and estate planning. This included the creation and administration of trusts, multigenerational tax minimization strategies for the extended family, and complex issues involving private foundations. Paul began his career with a large accounting firm, working on tax and planning issues for some of their wealthiest clients.
Paul is a licensed CPA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in accounting from North Central College (Naperville). He continued his education with an MBA in finance and economics from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and presently serves on the Estate, Gift and Trust Tax Committee of the Illinois CPA Society.
Paul is a Wisconsin transplant living in Naperville with his wife and three sons. When not helping clients, he enjoys spending his time coaching his sons’ sports and running marathons.
